"I know this world is cold and deceiving, but i keep my head up like my nose is bleeding."

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay his life for his brothers." John 15:13

All the missiles and the bombs,
and the wars like Vietnam,
how dare you say that what they do is not a job!
ide love to see you try to do the things they do,
risking their lives and dreams just for people like you!
you say their cruel and full of hate,
do you know how hard it is to tally another on the slate?
another fallen brother,
another flag sent home,
another person crying,
sitting on the phone.
these people are our brothers, sisters, husbands and wives,
can you look into your familys eyes, and picture them about to die?!
Youll never understand,
the hell that they go through,
but our soldiers always stay true,
to their home of the red white and blue.

Boredom instigates extreme creativity.
~Amoniel

"Bowing gratefully to all of my subjects, 'thank you. Thank you. The pleasure is mine." Nah, I'm just kidding. We're all kings together.'"
~Thesilentraven

This is beautiful. Even though war is unnessesary. You really portray another side to it all well. Thank you.

I really liked this poem; the message, the rhythm and the rhymes. There are a few areas with grammar problems but they don't interfere with the actual writing. Overall great job!!

"il piu nell' uno," (according to Emerson, an Italian expression for beauty)

"Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality" ~Emily Dickinson

"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain"
~Kahlil Gibran

This poem was written with good rhythm, and there was a lot of truth to it. Many soldiers are pure-hearted and courageous. They just want to help.

However, war doesn't do any good. Destroying places and killing people does no good. But it isn't right to blame the soldiers for war's tragedy.
