Liberal
We walk in a world of watercolors
that was somehow unable to survive the storm.
Everything is bleeding into each other,
and some child is being forced to color in the lines.
I’m too far above the ground
to slip on puddles tinted rainbow by dripping oil,
so maybe I’ll cry too.
This water’s too deep,
and the world’s to shallow
to go fighting things that used to exist.
Shut your mouth!
It’s shut…
Cover your ears!
They’re covered…
Open your eyes!
please…
let me dream…
