Beautiful and Dirty Rich

She has pearls tangled in her hair and love sprinkled in her coffee.
What does she need to stay awake for?
Someone beautiful will give her what she wants,
and she’ll learn to survive on wine not water,
but mirrors will lie to her too.
Dolls in puppet shops smile brighter than her,
but the other comparisons are hard to come by.
I’ll watch her from the corner
of my eye while she sits in the center of the room
illuminating the dullness of my situation.
She inherited that disease called money,
so it’ll cost her for some sympathy.
