Good Art and Classical Music
A life for a life and the whole world remains green.
How old is this child?
Why is she so bare?
A thousand birds will never lift her.
Can’t you here their cries,
so soft
oh, so soft
is that dimmer blanket that washes the sky of what would be colors.
I’ve lived a thousand loves and none of them were by the sea.
Just trees too tall to climb
and rivers too shallow to swim in.
None of it matters they say,
all of it’s matter they say.
So poor is this contradiction I balance on.
Let me breath and I’ll watch sunsets without tears.
I’ll pretend it’s supposed to be that way.
