You Never Take It In
At the end of the day I’ll walk in a circle.
People will notice me because
bare feet seem to contrast with overly trimmed lawns,
and I’ll notice them too,
but the vision will be blurry.
They are all too bright
these people with their wax paper lives and kaleidoscopic colors.
I’ll touch them and they’ll melt away
because I’m the one with the infectious fever that no one wants to drown in.
At the end of the day I’ll walk in a circle
and it’ll never ever end.
