A Third Portion of Love
When I want to hear your voice,
I almost go crazy
when I have no way to hear it;
if I have a message
from you on my phone,
I listen to it
until that want is satisfied.
When I have a craving
to watch you handle life,
i sit back and observe
how you handle things;
watch where you go
and how you get there,
Listen to what you say
and how you say it:
And these are a couple
of love's wishes.
When I need to feel your assurance,
it doesn't go away until I get it;
a wonderful
and always warm embrace,
sweet caring
and words from your mouth.
Every-time I need an opinion
of someone I like,
trust,
and respect,
I always come to you;
ask what you think
of the situation,
take in what you think
is the best thing to do.
And these are some
of love's wishes.
As I need an outlet for emotions,
I run to you as you wish me to do:
I cry it out,
I tell you every random thought.
When either of us
want an escape from reality,
we lose ourselves together;
tell stories of a future,
fantasy life,
get lost in a deep conversation:
And this whole poem,
only makes up a small portion
of the life called love.
