Just Another Body
I'm just another body in the world
Looking for a place to call my own.
I'm just another body in a world that's so cold
Looking for a place to call my own.
Like every kid in the world
Chasing after dreams
Catching opportunities
Not knowing they aren't what they seem.
Just another body praying for a better day
Looking up into the sky
And paving my way
To my future, a clearer one someday.
Just another body on God's green earth
Surrounded by families and mothers giving birth.
Just another body surrounded by hurt
And people who always try to get up your skirt.
I'm just another body trying to make it in the world
And always being put down because I'm a diferent girl.
But one day my whole life will be a complete twirl
Because of God's grace for puting me in this world.
For now I'm just another body in the world
Praying for a better way
Hoping and asking for a brighter day.
