My favourite time of year
For many different reasons
The crisp cool days
Make for a lovely way home
Cool edgy wind on my face
Blows the golden tendrils of my hair around
But its already messy from the long school day
My Etnies scuff across the rough pavement
Laughter fills the air
As the wind tells us a story
My friendly companion shares a joke with me
These are the days that should last forever
The crunching of the leaves fills my ears
The sun warms up my wind shattered face
I should feel pain from my purse that seems to hold the world
But all I can think about is bliss
Oh how I love this season
Not too hot and not too cold
Just perfect
Perfect for me.
