Those who deny freedom to others , deserve it not for themselves. (Abe Lincoln)

The world I see is black,

But also golden in my view.

War rages on,

But peace tries to renew.

Hate paints a picture across our world

In my eyes

But love sketches the stars,

Bright in the skies.

Anger pulls the world’s people

causing them to rue.

Danger flits around,

A dark streak of hue.

But Joy becomes a rainbow’s toy,

Mending hearts , a few.

The world, in my eyes, is entwined

Love
and hate , a constant war,

A constant debate.

The author's comments:
This is a poem I wrote as an entry for a poetry contest but I also wanted to share it on teen ink to get some feedback. I hope people will understand the balance between bad and good, & light and dark in this poem because the world is full of shadows and sunlight.

Don't be a victim; be a titan.

Again, this is lovely! :)

How did you come up with the format though?

Great job!
