I am from the sea, and dreams, and nights under the stars
I am from a strict Christian home, brought down under rebellion
And tears and heaves after recounting rape
I am from a childhood cut short, and smiles, ad dandelions. And lost faith

You are from broken parents, and tales of monsters under your bed
You are from nights spent running, in Nikes, and from the thoughts in your mind
And jokes and laughter, and first kisses, and tearful sex with only one girl
You are form hope, and depression, and a boxful of bullets found in swope park

We are from beauty and hope, and sadness and hatred
We are from honesty, about our pasts, and cheating kisses, and I love yous in the rain
And the sneaking out at night, and the pregnancy test in my gym bag
We are from unity, and hope. Transgression and futility

I am not what you are, and you are nothing of me
Yet we are. We will be. Together, not forever
But young love binds the heart of pain and creates gashes
That leave handprints in the network of our being

"And if you can't see anything beautiful about yourself, get a better mirror, look a little closer, stare a little longer because there's something inside you that made you keep trying, despite everyone who told you to quit..'they were wrong'.

This is absolutely beautiful. I love it. Could you maybe give me some feedback on my poem mystery girl?
