I Was There
The children crying, the old whinning, and the hurt shouting
I have seen it all
Boom!Boom!Boom!
Pow!Pow!Pow!
I was there
There were bleeding drops of red everywhere
I saw my soldier with bruises and cuts
I was there
I ran to save the little girl
I ran to take her away from the burning house
I ran and saw that she was there holding my hand
I ran and knew that I saved her
I was there
I had already had broken bones,
But now that I have saved that girl
I now no more have a broken heart
I'm a hero
I was there
