Nails Painted Black (response)
I like this color black
It's simply elegant and bold
Don't ya' think?
I like the way it looks...
Sorta throwing off
My already half dark skin-
It's different.
It reflects my constantly changing emotions
Completely mimicking three in particular:
Loss, anger, sadness.
I like the way it lifts my spirits
When others see it the opposite
I think they think I'm some sort of freak or something
But who cares?
Yesterday I wanted to die.
Today I need to live.
They don't know me,
They don't care about me...
And I don't care about them.
These nails painted black?
They're mine, I like them
Imagine that? I actually like them.
And even though you look down upon me...
I even like you
I have a lot to offer the world,
And not even you could stand in my way
I'm trying to move on-
These nails painted black?
I think they'll stay.
