My Foretelling
Things will never get better.
That's what you soon will learn.
Because as soon as you resurface
From that dark sea you call depression,
The wave will crash down,
Dragging you further than ever before.
And though you'd like to cry,
Just to know that you're still real,
You can't cry when you're drowning,
So panicked, captured with fear.
Next, my dear, you'll hit the bottom,
Then you'll understand my words.
You'll realize there's no point to this.
You'll breathe out, 'cause that's your cure.
Doing this, you'll find a haven,
A place with no feelings and no pain.
You'll soon both live and be there;
In your safe spot you should stay.
Until then, dear, just keep sinking,
Don't you ever run away,
And remember my foretelling of
Your place that bears no pain.
