Lady Moon
She follows, watching, staring
Behind the backless sky
Illuminated by a halo of wispy cloud
Centered in the black of the night eye
Deeply asking everyone below
What their life has amounted to
Questioning who they are
If they glance into the royal blue
Mesmerized you could stand there
Until you hear the shattering song
As the dawn, slowly falling, breaks
Smashing into the solid earthly ground
Bursting into colors unimaginable
Stealing the show from her night majesty
But in the end, the black will win
And there, Lady Moon, surrounded by stars
Will catch the audiences wonder once again.
