Glass Walls
You're such a smiling, sweet face
It's taking me, tearing me apart
How to get to you, I don't know
I'm listening, but still falling apart
I glance across the room at you,
Eye contact for a moment, and
You're looking away, you don't know
You were seeing, and now you're
Cracking the glass
What is this we have, mind games
Twisting my heart, bitter affair
I want to get to you, so insecure,
Run my fingers through your hair
It will never happen, so nonexistent
You still sometimes smile my way,
But not for long, and then
It's my heart that pays
It's a lost relationship,
And a lonely world, life is,
Listening, not hearing
Looking through a glass wall
