Wishes for fishes that eat you...
Is it too much to ask
for simplicity?
That I wasn't a mess
With pieces scattered
Across the front lawn
How about for the one
who gets me when
i'm falling all the way down
who'll forgive me everything
because i know
i won't do right by him
tell me to come back
when i walk away
and won't give up
keep on telling
Or for the damned truth
and not another I love you
Tell me he hates me
when he kisses me goodnight
rather than that
Is it too much
to not always mess up
drift on these waves
that'll never settle
god let it be calm
Just give me
simplicity
The fairy tell ending
with all the bad creatures
standing on the sidelines
cuz i'm sure as hell
never gonna be perfect
So give me
these little things
that match
the one that'll burst into
flames
i've been numb
for far too long
i want to feel again
dammit, is it too much to ask
for that simplicity?
