Soothing purple beauty
glowing with its color and light from deep down under.
Makes me think,
soaking up all those ultraviolet rays
must’ve left a mark on its heart.
And all those very tiny
Miracles; like bees and butterflies
walking with soft feet
couldn’t of hurt its self-esteem.
This flower you know
walked a thousand miles
and danced a thousand dances
to stand where it stands now
justified and radiant with its
Purple Soul.

Petals flash like translucent dancers in the wind,
Tall, gentle stalk lifts breathlessly.
Lullabies and promises
it sings through its
soft sweet scent.
Velvet touch on my heart.

I absolutely love this poem! What I want to say basically echoes everyone else. Great job! One thing you want to watch though, you wrote "couldn't of" when it should be "couldn't have". Not trying to be a grammar nazi but I'm just trying to help you improve. Keep writing!

What an incredibly beautiful poem! It's such a wonderful description of the complex and simple qualities of nature. You applied eloquent words to a flower, and they went straight to my heart. Well done!

wow, the image you create here is so visual! you have fabulous word choice. your last line really left me with a lasting impression: "velvet touch on my heart."

you can rate/comment on some of my work, too if you'd like. great job on this! keep writing!(:
