A Scripture Torn
in your smile, I see
uncertainty
wavering
thousands of thoughts
and a weak attempt
to cover the
shame
blame
and denile
hidden deep within
your blue, blue eyes
clouded with
desire
a craving hunger
and a whirlwind
of questions, seeking
answers
who do you turn to
when there is
noone
who wants to listen?
like a great wall
splitting the
divine
a promise
broken
a scripture
torn
crawling through the
shadows, blind
to the way
where is the light
in this
corrupt
world today?
He knows the stain
you carry
beneath weathered
skin
where you
try to hide an
abundance of sin
so you pray
and you pray, yet
the cycle repeats
transmission is failing
your reciever must be
twisted
like a great wall
splitting the
divine
a promise
broken
a scripture
torn
