Awake
With eyes sewn open
Breaths escape rapidly
Muffled by the pillow
Suffocating
Blood pulsing through a highway
The mind
Tingling numb
A breeze of
Lies
Secrets
Hopelessness
Gives way to goosebumps
On a body filled with
Stale air
And white noise
Ears plugged
Lips pursed
With eyes sewn open
