the great bafflement
face value is not true worth,
a jar of pennies is so deceiving
and
tax does a number on your heart
good judgment isn't right at all,
when what you see is never what you get
and
falsities make you trip then fall
a book's cover gives it's word too much,
for credit has little worth in debt
and
the giver may never receive
an image of a man is clear
but his intentions can be obscure
and
intentions mean nothing once you pay
therefore, never take from your heart
but give from your knowledge
and
maybe you will learn
