Hello Discrimination
This is for
The outcasts
Of society
All of us
Who cannot stand
To face those
Clouded by ignorance
By assumptions
We are people too
Hello
I smile everyday
Because happiness
Is something we need
We all need
Despite your taunts
"Faggot!" "Burn in Hell!"
I keep smiling
Praying to
The God we share
For to God we must be equals
For a greater life
Free of
Discrimination
Hello
As the sands of
Our deserts stay white
So does
Our society
Promoting these
Forgetting us
Making assumptions
That we are criminals
That we are addicts
And murderers
We have souls, we are good
I am a woman
Who wanted freedom
Instead I was slapped
By the hand
Of
Discrimination
Hello
I am chained
To a chair
For I am less fortunate
Than you
I used to love
The wind on my face
As I ran
And now
After going through
The Hell of surgery
After a blur of nightmares
I am ridiculed
No mercy
Taunts
Pranks
All for fun
Step in my shoes
Glued to this chair
One that guarantees
Discrimination
Hello
"What church do you go to?"
I shy away
Back into my shell
Afraid to admit
The tragic truth
I do not believe
Cannot
Will not
And you cannot change me
Fix me
For I am no device
Broken in pieces
I am human
Nothing less
But based on
Simple thoughts
Nothing violent
Nothing of hate
Just thoughts
I
Must face
Discrimination
Hello
I am a woman
Strong, independent
As men should be
The bruises
I have taken
For my courage
Still pain me
We are worth something
We aren't a commodity
Believe this
And
Violence
Senseless violence
Around our world
Of
Discrimination
So, outcasts
Those not mentioned here
Cry for our brothers
Our sisters
Do not stop there
Use the truth
Of our world
To form
A goodbye

This is such a strong and beautiful poem, but more than that, honest.
I love it.
