Wish-Flowers
"I wish you would love me,"
He said, standing in a field
Of dandelions.
Then the wind came,
Clearing out the seeds
As he was cryin
Out to the sky,
Hands in the air,
Wishing, Hoping,
Praying
That she would care.
He put his hands on his face,
Guilt clouding his mind.
How she felt was an answer
He'd never find;
Too weak to tell her,
What was on the tip
Of his tongue;
Such is the curse
Of the love of the young.
But when he turned around
She was standing there,
Wind blowing fuzzies
Into her hair.
Their eyes opened wide--
No more feelings to hide.
But what happens next
Is for you to decide!
