Drowning the Bottle
That bottle which I used to leave sitting still,
I finally pick up and drink a spill.
Slowly the pain goes away,
waiting to haunt me another day.
This may just be a quick fix,
That was chosen through weakness, and downed in a potent mix.
Yet slowly the bottle runs dry,
leaving me there alone to cry.
And there's the pain creeping back in,
Continuing a battle i'm destined not to win.
