As I lie awake tonight
I feel as though I have to fight
'But why' I ask to no avail
My subconscious will tell no tale
I know too well it makes no sense
But it's something that I cannot fence
I know I only hurt myself
But just knowing is no help
Why I'm like this I cannot say
I can only take it day by day
And lie awake, always, each night
And wonder why I want to fight
