Happy
I thought I’d give happy a try
With thought of peace and butterflies.
But there are no unicorns here
‘Cause this happiness is real.
It’s not world peace
Or a land of bliss,
But a simple smile
Or an “I love you” kiss.
You may not be happy forever
And I’m sure you’ll shed a tear,
But you’ll live with your head held high
And your loved ones near.
My happy isn’t perfect,
It can’t be summer each day.
But my happy is real,
And that’s all I can say.
