Yellow Racecar
Fit to the palm of my hand,
Scarred a dingy gray around the edges.
This car has been driven
off a table
through a sandbox
over bathtub slime
So many times...
He looks tired.
Like me.
Is he still eager to plunge
off that table
One more time?
Maybe
He can drive over that edge
So I won't.
