Disappointment
There was a little girl I knew
Who, upon the endings of movies,
Jumped up and danced to the music
Let the music move her soul
Which than, was in control of her body
There was a little girl I knew
Who climbed trees to the top
With the goal of jumping down
Instead of the fear of falling.
She hung around with the bees
She prayed for dirt to dirty her knees
There was a girl I knew
Who talked and talked until jaws dropped
Enlightenment filled all who felt her aura glow
For the feeling of her aura could really show
Personality arose as a flower from the fresh earth
Unafraid, unharmed, unalarmed
There was a girl I knew
Who accepted rejection
Who never interrupted interruptions
Trying to make everyone happy was not an option
For the state was already true
Never, like now was awkward a word
Little girl, where have you gone?
too embarrassed to stage your act?
Don’t be worried, no body will stare.
We aren’t even looking.
