Fornever
And even though I dream
A noble dream of love
I awake to the cold reality
That leaves me trembling at the door
Of fornever ever more
And even though I hold
My dreams within my hand
They ultimately crumble
At the world's demand
Of fornever ever more
And even when I hold you tight
Within the moment of forever
A creeping fear of doubt intrudes
And settles deep within my core
Whispering to me this will succumb to be fornever ever more
But even though I love you now
They tell me it will never last
That you and I will surely fade
Remembering not what it was we had
To the tragic tide of fornever ever more to come
And when I dream my dreams at night
I choose not to hide, but instead to fight
Though I do not know what my future holds
Here in the now, I must be bold
And attempt to defy fornever ever more
And though my lips may say goodbye
My heart will say hello, beloved!
Because surely we will meet again
Beyond the shadow of the war
Of fornever ever more
