Stair Case of Time
I feel like I’m climbing a staircase.
As I get farther up the staircase it gets harder to breathe.
I get tired, I want to stop and rest
You can’t stop time though,
The stairs are wobbly and the railings are long gone.
The steps creak with each
Step
I
take
Its like a spiral that continues to spin in its own circular motion.
I know if I fell off its game over.
My life lies in the hands of wooden stairs that have seen everything.
They determine how long I have till I fall or get to the top.
Im getting dizzy from the constant spinning…
I try to stop
To rest my aching legs
But I get hit by a gust of memories that knocks me back on track.
I have only just started the climb
And I hope the staircase lets me climb on.
Climb on, Live life to the fullest.
