The Doll
Color the world with the ruby eyeshadow I left in your pocket, dear extension of me. And shake the powder-filled cap until it's all in your lap and spread it into the sky, make a wish and blow. Drink all of the green out of the grass that lies under the gray, and spit it into the ocean so the fish and the weeds can float up and play. Take the shore's light blue and gather it up into a bent plastic cup so you can drench the trees new leaves with it's liquid contents. Mix up the gray with the love in your beret and spin it into the air so all of the unknowing earth would see that you were there to splash all the color into the hopeless atmosphere, and they would all wish you were here.
