The wide gap of space next to me reminds me that you’re no longer here.
I roll over,
remembering.
I pretend you’re next to me, like you once were.
Your finger tips grazing the edges of my lips.
Your pale blue eyes searching mine, looking for things that even I didn’t know.
A piece hair fell into my face, as your large hands tucked it behind my ear.
I quietly laughed,
snuzzling next to you for warmth on the cold winter day.
My opens snap open.
I find only darkness and empty space,
remembering.
