Daydreamer
I want to be a princess
Three closetfuls of elaborate dresses
A prince to marry, too
A country to control… but that’s just a daydream
I want to be a country girl
A name to every face I see
A guitar to learn to play
And dances into the rain… but that’s just a daydream
I want to be a city girl
A view of a living disco ball outside my window
Coffee shops down every corner
And everything you want in one place… but that’s just a daydream
I want to be in the CIA
Intensity is there at every second
Tricks and kicks up your sleeve and in your brain
Punches thrown to deceived terrorists… but that’s just a daydream
I don’t want to hear that saying
The grass is always greener on the other side
I’m absolutely positive that if I had it all
I would be the happiest girl in the galaxy
I don’t want to be a daydreamer
Because deep down you know it’s not real
It’s not truth
But you can’t admit it.
