Stalking Struggles
This road I am walking,
Has struggles that are stalking.
This path has thorns that cut me so deep,
It makes this climb much more steep.
I swear this trail has my past wound in vines,
When i least expect it, they strike me from behind.
There is this force that keeps pulling me back,
A force so strong it makes me want to crack.
Every time it rains it pours, it forces me to all fours.
I get on my knees and pray, that maybe all my weaknesses would just go away.
Just for one day there would be blue sky instead of gray.
So I can see the flowers bloom,
Instead of constant gloom.
It's like every time i turn around,
It’s time for another round.
A round of being pushed in the wrong direction.
I got to fight for this protection of rejection.
