Heaven
Heaven
Colors
magenta
verde
celestia
thrown onto a canvas
their electricity is visible
But try to touch them
and it’s like catching smoke
slipping through your fingertips
while you, so unaware,
fantasize about caressing them
But they are not for you
not for me
Though we can embody their surreal vibes
capture their luminosity in paintings
Though we can dream of possessing their colored flame
it will not come to pass
They are not for the living
though we may be able to see them
The velvet undertones of this collaboration of pigment
does not sing to us
their voices are only for the departed
who will bathe in their vibrant and incandescent current
A soft kiss
from light azure
tells me I don’t belong here
it is not my time
not yet
not in heaven
