Walking in the Rain
My favorite type of weather,
Though its strange to say,
Is when it rains,
all
the
live long day,
Pitter patter pitter pat,
I listen to the sound, so calming,
Walking through the rain pouring down,
Through the sheets of tears,
I wonder why the sky wants to cry,
The rain keeps coming no signs of stopping,
I walk on my clothes feeling heavy,
My hair plastered to my neck,
The rain dripping down my face like tears,
Hearing thunder somewhere in the dark, I trudge on,
To the woods and across the field,
Trying to see through the glass sheets,
I see light in the dark of the night,
You come walking up to my sorrow figure,
Looking at you my heart fills up again,
Locking my in a tender embrace,
I feel your warmth,
You take me by the hand,
And
Lead me
Home.
