Morning Water
Morning strikes,
nothing left of night remains
except dew drops,
that coat the leaves
lay in the grass,
and puddle in flowers
Water swells up through the plants
wetting my feet,
cooling the air
It will burn off in the day
leaving no more remains
The wet landscape will dry
leaving it bare
The morning dew,
vague and distant
a long lost memory
