Carry Me
Gone like the sun
The shadows sweep away the light.
I am dry as bone.
Creeping out of the gaping holes
In our own barely-beating hearts
Is the dry ice
Going through the veins-
violet-blue veins;
Of the near lifeless body
Of what our
World
Has become.
I am looking for the water-
Living, pure water-
Which satisfies the deepest
Thirst
For love in this time of
Unbearable Hatred.
Will it soothe my throat-
My aching, burning throat?
Thou art in agony.
So I say to thee
On the flaming red horizon,
"Carry me."
