Darkness
I stopped and stared at the sunset that engrossed the tiny valley.
The valley was painted with oranges, reds, and yellows.
The valley had a glow of the city of gold.
The grass swayed gently in the wind as the same breeze caressed my skin. It tickled all that it touched.
The birds chirped quietly as they flew into the golden sun. The sky was painted in a gold that touched everyone’s hearts.
I started to wonder why all was perfect here, and everywhere else it was complete chaos.
I leaned in the gentle ruffle of the wind. It lifted my spirits every time I came.
The tiny river rippled quietly and softly.
The stars sprinkled the sky, one by one until the golden sun was gone and the silver moon replaced it.
It was getting late, but I was in no hurry to return home.
There is no one there for me.
The beautiful lights known as the auras fill the sky in an explosion of colors that filled me with happiness.
I wandered around the valley until I found the exit.
It was time to leave.
The serenity and peacefulness left me as I stepped into the darkness.
