Whale Shaped Clouds on Thursdays
Before I met you,
I never knew a person could sound like home,
I didn’t know
There had been so little color in my world,
And I never thought
There could be words that could make me feel whole.
I see that my world is beautiful,
And the grace of my life
Is to belong somewhere,
To feel someone care,
To have somewhere to run to,
Even just for an afternoon.
And when the world is dark,
And I feel lost,
I close my eyes and go back
To a bright shining afternoon,
When the sky was oh so blue,
The sun was high, and the grass was at its greenest,
And the clouds were perfect for finding pictures.?
