Sophmore Year Love
Walking around campus,
inspecting some new arrivals.
Some talking in cliques,
some acting like complete rivals.
Seeing the one he likes,
he is stopped in his tracks.
He is as still as can be,
almost as one of those Knicks knacks.
Finding she is taken,
she becomes more desirable.
Although he is younger,
his love is undebatable.
He hides his love,
with avoidance of eye contact.
His heart around her,
is as if it is under a contract.
When she came to him,
he was filled with happiness.
Along with that feeling,
he was filled with sappiness.
Just wanting to hold her,
he sits with their hands entwined.
With her in his arms,
he slowly relaxed being reclined.
The jealousness of others,
does not seem to bother them.
Their love is a spectacle,
but hidden like a precious gem.
One must dig deep,
to find the kind of love they share.
For their hearts seem,
to never break or at least tear.
Indefinite may their future be,
to both them and others.
They may seem close,
maybe even closer than brothers.
Everyone wants what they have,
when they watch them mingle.
Seeing the shared love,
gives them a tingle.
Beloved people,
seem to gather around.
As if it is,
the only piece of ground.
Giving there mocking coo’s,
they are simply ignored.
With a delicate touch,
they think they just minored.
