Memory is only temporary,
But notes last forever.
Perhaps the human memory simply cannot recall its abilities
And the brain has lost its capability to compute.
What if our species was to forget its daily wonders…
the conversation of two neighbors about the Yankees
or
the argument of the students on the lunch line
or
the laughter during the mummy wrapping contest
or
the indescribable feeling of the Bridgemen winning the championship.
And what is lost in our memory is eternally gone
Memory is only temporary, but notes last forever.
Perhaps the joys of life are not the ones that happen at that specific moment
But the events that happen which we write down will last forever.
It appears that the simplest feelings of joy can sometimes be found in what
we create…
So let us remember this simple poem…
And let us begin to take notes…
We mustn’t let our memories prevent the revisiting of the joys of our life.
