Oh Well
being here
with the dancing blue driftwood flames
and the smell of smoke clinging to my shirt
and to my half dried hair
salty, still, from the ocean
with the stars
iridescent specks of paint
that god tipped into the sky
a spill
I wish you were here
wish you could see me now
with my freckled, sunburned face
I'm glowing
my hair windswept and messy
wearing my swimsuit still
and an old flannel too
and happy
so happy
you have never known me this way
