All Relative
fall skipped me this year
it was over before it started
the was no fresh crisp days
or leaf pile jumping
but
it was worth it
for those few days of freedom
it was a long car ride
but not long enough for me
the hours sprinted by
while I tried not to let them pass wasted
tried to do something
with the little time I had
time is relative, anyway
to you
it may have seemed
every hour
was a week
until you could be rid of me
but
I hope not
because for me
every precious second
tripped over the next
on its way out the door
and they ran away from me
just like you
I didn't waste anytime with silly things
like sleep, though
it's all relative anyway
