“Be yourself. Above all, let who you are, what you are, what you believe, shine through every sentence you write, every piece you finish.” -John Jakes.

I'm spiteful and I'm mean, nothing that you are
I'm the falling rain, you're the shining star.

I'm all gray, forgot my color long ago
You're perfectly intact, my lost rainbow.

You are the hurricane, that leaves your past completely wrecked
I'm the one who can't be budged, the immovable object.

I'm a river, unstable shallow, with no form that I can keep
You are an ocean; blue abyss, mysterious and deep.

I'm the thin sheet, that's always cold during the storm
Your the infinite blanket, always keeping me so warm.

I'm the step-sister, that can't get to her feet
Your my prince charming, beautiful and sweet.

I'm the one who dwells here, my spirit, half of a soul
You're the one who showed me what it is to be a whole

That's why this exists, I hate to admit it, but I'm caught
Every syllable and word, because you're everything I'm not

This poem is about you're other half. Someone who makes you realize that you were only half a person. It's someone who helps you understand that you aren't perfect, but that's okay...
