Be the Revolution
This is for the man on the side of the road,
All scruffed up and broken.
Wearing a cross around his neck,
He prays one day a Revolution will come.
This is for the single parent
Trying to raise a child on their own.
Reading the Bible each night,
Hoping for a Revolution to come.
This is for the soldier,
Sweat running down his tired face.
Trudging on through the storms,
He waits for the Revolution.
This is for the Christian
Who goes to Church every Sunday,
Listening to the Words in Red,
He talks about the Revolution.
This is for the people of God,
The ones sitting in front of me.
Smile and praise God,
And be, the Revolution!
