Resurfacing
winter envelopes my soul
covering it in a frosty see through glaze
shutting me off for days
weeks
months
a depression so numb
don't leave me to face this alone
no not again
and as i hold out my hand
the safest part of me shatters
it seems that you may be the only one worth it
my only punishment would be to forget
