No One To Catch Me
I will curl up on the bed
a tiny spec
on an ocean of quilt
hold my knees
my page is still blank
except for some eraser bits
and I feel a pain
like dull paperclips
digging into my skin
you have nothing to say to me
and there is nothing I can do anymore
to try and fix it
and I'm hungry
and I just need to rest
but you won't let me
or
I won't let myself
for you
I want to climb a tree
and leap like a flying squirrel
freedom
but I know I would just hit the ground
no one would catch me
and I can not catch myself anymore
and now my tears are running into my hair
in my ocean bed
and there's still no one left to catch me if I fall
