The Great Get Away
December 12, 2010
She puts the headphones in and lets everything disappear.
All the anger and hurt just wash off.
She closes her eyes and listens to the music pulsating around her, the whispering of the words...
She sighs thinking, "If life could be this easy..."

As soon as i saw the title "a great get away" i knew it was gunna be a good poem. I love this. This relates to me all the way!

i feel this, i want to let my self dissapear along the words, and hear the pain, and lives of the artest.....but as soon as the music shuts off im back to my bleak reality.

The poem is a good poem; most teenagers could probably relate to the meaning. The first line, "She puts the headphones in and lets everything disappear", is a great line to use. The line lets you imagine her laying down and relaxing to music. The poem could be longer, to let the reader know how she feels or why she feels life isn't as easy as listening to music is.
