Collision
where my window is
I can see the trains go by at night
they rattle my beads
and each time
I see the light thrown on the other wall
through my open blinds
hear the laborious cranks and groans
it feels as if the train is coming strait for me
but then it swerves
it always swerves
but in my half sleep blind panic
every night
I convince my self that this time
this will be the time
and I kiss my cat goodbye
and rub the rock we found at the beach
the one I wish on
when I'm wishing about you
I close my eyes
ready
I don't know how I'm so ready
but the train always turns away
and it always will
