A Way With Words
some say
I have a way with words
a way?
To where?
Surely not up
or out
of my prison
between my ears
you locked me there
and swallowed up the key
now the grizzly in the circus
I am clawing my way out
while the troupe does tricks and flips around me
how easy it would be
one swipe of a paw
and the music would stop
no one would force me back onto this stage
but I can't let go of the only thing
I know
